About Us

Ability special school is a comprehensive multi-service school that provides educational, therapeutic and recreational services for children with special needs thereby fostering their physical, educational, emotional and social development and thus enabling them to play, learn, live and function in the real world.

We are a group of specialists from the field of special education committed to providing 'that extra' needed to make a difference in the lives of differently-abled children by encouraging them to realize their true potential.

Our specialties

Special education - This involves the individually planned and systematically monitored arrangement of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials, and accessible settings. These interventions are designed to help individuals with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and in their community.

Special education aims to provide accommodated education for disabled students such as learning disabilities, learning difficulties (such as dyslexia and ADHD), communication disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, physical disabilities .

Speech and language therapy - Speech Therapy is much more than just for children who have speech problems. It can help your child improve their speech, communicate better, overcome stuttering or stammering and build on spoken or written language skills.
Occupational therapy - Some children struggle with everyday tasks or experience challenges in motor skills, balance and coordination. Our Occupational Therapists can help these children adapt and gain independence by teaching them basic self-care, improving their fine & gross motor abilities, ensuring they develop age-appropriate skills.
Physiotherapy - Physiotherapy or exercise prescription is a very crucial component of medical rehabilitation. Our qualified & experienced therapists will perform baseline evaluation, design and execute personalized physiotherapy plan to achieve goals that have been mutually agreed by resident & therapist. Physiotherapy & exercises help optimize function, relieve symptoms & helps prevent future complications.
Remedial teaching - Sometimes, children may have gaps in their development. Our Remedial Intervention Therapists help children who battle difficulties with attention span, anxiety, brain injuries or face academic challenges. Behavior modification - All behaviour is communication. At times behaviour disruptions are more than just a phase and need intervention. Our Behaviour Therapists work on understanding challenging behaviour and creating practical behavioural goals for the child, while also guiding parents on the best ways to handle these situations.
Counselling - Changes and challenges in your child’s environment can cause them immense stress that can alter the way they function and interact. Our Counsellors can help them navigate difficult phases by empowering them with the right tools and strategies to deal with their stressors appropriately. We also provide parent counselling and support.
